Our key aim is the development of players for their future in the game: supporting them to be the best they can be. We measure our success as much by participation and performances five or ten years down the line, as by current success. Whatever future they choose in basketball, we want their time in the South West programmes to be memorable.
Our training programmes, teams and events are part of Basketball England’s Player Performance Pathway. For a simple summary, go to http://img.basketballengland.co.uk/media/BasketballEnglandWeb/Docs/Performance/1_talentPathway.pdf
We are involved in a continuous Talent Identification process, with flexible access from ages 11-17. We recognise that development in young players is not always consistent or predictable. Clubs may recommend players at any time, depending on their development and performance.
